Boiled EggsFor someone like myself who knows how to cook, I often forget that people need to know the basics and someone recently asked how to make boiled eggs.

Well ask and you shall receive :)

Boiled eggs are super, super easy, so here are the instructions and you will find the cooking class below.

How To Make Boiled Eggs

Print Friendly

Time: 4-7 minutes prep/cook time – depending how you like your eggs

Cooking Method
1. Place eggs into a small saucepan and cover with cold water, just enough to cover the eggs
2. Bring to the boil, then when the water starts to boil, turn down the heat so the water is on a simmer and set your timer as follows

SOFT BOILED EGGS – 2 minutes – great for dipping
MEDIUM SOFT BOILED EGGS – 3 minutes – dipping yolk, firm white
MEDIUM HARD BOILED EGG – 5 minutes – cooked through firm yolk and white
SUPER HARD BOILED EGGS – 7 minutes – super firm egg

COOKING CLASS

That’s really as simple as it can be, right?!

Boiled eggs are great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks! So give them a try and eat them your favorite way.

What is your favorite way to eat them? Soft, medium, or hard?

I eat them hard boiled mostly but do love to dip fresh steamed asparagus into medium soft boiled eggs 😉

Salad needs something-slice a hard boiled egg up. Dog is being a picky eater-slice a hard boiled egg over his food.

A hard boiled egg works well with many things but I don’t have a dog so wouldn’t have known that Charles :)
