Did you know that magnesium is a miracle mineral that is needed by every single cell in your body and contributes to the function of more than 300 enzymes?

I bet you didn’t so that’s what we are going to explore today, along with the best magnesium supplement to choose.

The Functions Of Magnesium

Magnesium is a mineral element found in all of the body’s soft tissues, muscles and bones. Many of us aren’t aware of the important role magnesium plays in our body.

Magnesium provides the fuel for the correct function of over 300 enzymes in our body. These enzymes contribute to the health of every cell and is responsible for the chemical changes that occur in many of our cells. Magnesium also aids in protecting our cells from heavy metals and plays a role in hormone and nutrient distribution.

The thing is, most of us are unaware that we are probably deficient in magnesium and that might be the reason for a large array of our physical symptoms. There are many circumstances that contribute to us becoming deficient including stress, the soil deficiencies our food is grown in, excess sugar, blood sugar issues, leaky gut syndrome, candida, excess alcohol, junk food, antibiotics, and the list goes on and on.

Because our body has such a need for magnesium, if we are not getting enough of it we can soon become deficient. And even if we are deficient by a small amount we can still experience ill health in some way.

Since your body expels excess magnesium and it’s safe to take, it’s a supplement that everyone probably should be taking.

Miracle Magnesium Can Help:

  • PMS/menopause
  • Heart disease
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Muscular aches and pains
  • Circulation
  • Diabetes
  • Mental confusion
  • Depression
  • Arthritis
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Nervous tension
  • IBS
  • Adrenal fatigue
  • Angina
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Muscle cramps
  • Poor sleep and insomnia
  • Asthma
  • Fibromyalgia
  • High blood pressure
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Digestive problems
  • And more…

It really is amazing how many things it can help. In fact, Dr. Sandra Cabot, suggests that if you have any of the above conditions, these could actually be a direct symptom of a magnesium deficiency. This is not surprising since all our cells need it to function properly. I personally take magnesium every single day and I really notice the difference when I don’t.

But with so many supplements to choose from, which one should you take?

Best Magnesium Supplement To Choose

Not all magnesium supplements are created equal and it’s very important to choose a supplement that is highly bio available to your body. That simply means it has the type of magnesium that your body can absorb and utilize.

One of the common types of magnesium that you may find on the shelf comes in the form of magnesium oxide. You want to steer clear of this one. Although it has the highest percentage of magnesium, this magnesium is not available for absorption to the body.

The better absorbed forms of magnesium include magnesium amino acid chelate, magnesium phosphate, magnesium glyconate, magnesium orotate, and magnesium citrate. Some supplements combine a couple of different forms of magnesium.

A couple of popular magnesium supplements include:

Natural Calm Magnesium by Natural Vitality

That’s another thing I didn’t point out, magnesium really relaxes your body overall, probably because all those cells are breathing a sigh of relief! Natural Calm is also a powdered form magnesium.

Stress X is also another good brand  to try if you are in the US.

If you live in Australia, something like Blackmores Magnesium Powder is perfect, and can be purchased at any pharmacy.

I prefer the powdered forms because they are faster acting than taking a pill. For example, one for the ladies…next time you have menstrual cramps instead of popping a pill, take a large spoonful of magnesium and your cramps will be gone within 20 minutes!

Or if you’re struggling to get to sleep, take a dose 30 minutes before bed and it really helps the body and brain to relax.

I certainly love my magnesium and I hope now you’ve got a better understanding of why you should probably be taking it too.

Your health is your wealth,
