Natural Treatment For Candida

candida-diet-books-in-PostIs there a natural treatment for candida?

The answer is YES. Treating candida naturally is really the only treatment available.

As you may have read in a previous post all about the candida albican fungus, some of the main contributors to it’s overgrowth are antibiotics, NSAIDs and steroid medications and there really are no medications you can take that will help it get any better.

Supplements yes, you definitely need those to help kill off the candida and help restore healthy balance in the gut bacteria. But don’t kid yourself into thinking there is a fast pill solution for this one because there isn’t.

A Candida Story

I’ve been working with a client recently who has had reocccuring urinary tract infections for the past year. Each time she’d go to the doctor he would just give her more antibotics, sure it got rid of the urinary tract infection for a short time, only for it to come back in full force.

Now she’s had 5 urinary tract infections in one year and 5 courses of antibiotics, not to mention all her other digestive symptoms, bloating, constipation, reflux, and increased inflammation appearing as arthritic pain. When we started digging into things we discovered she had candida and another course of antibiotics would not be helping solve the issue!

We used the simple candida spit test to indicate she had full blown systemic candida and have now been working on a dietary and supplement strategy that is working to solve the collective complaints.

Natural Treatment For Candida

The natural treatment for candida involves a 4 point plan.

1. A STRICT anti candida diet

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing the food list and when it comes to candida you have to follow the diet VERY strictly for at least 6 weeks, maybe more depending on the severity of symptoms. The more symptoms you have or the worse they are, the longer you may have to follow the very strict diet. Candida is a very opportunistic bacteria, if you don’t fully starve it out you will not fully get rid of it out of your system and it can very easily re-establish itself. For you that means your problems either don’t get better, or they come back in full force very quickly.

2. Anti-fungals and supplements

You need a variety of antifungals to help kill off the candida. We’ll be talking all about those in a future post and how to take them too. You also need some digestive enzymes and additional fibre to help get elimination pathways functioning more effectively.

3. Probiotics

You starve the candida through a strict diet, you kill them off rapidly with the right antifungals and supplements, and then you have to restore the good guys back into the gut so that the balance is brought back to normal. 80% good guys, 20% bad guys, not the other way around!

4. Repair the gut lining

Since candida generally does cause leaky gut, once you get a hold on things you’ve got to work on repairing the gut lining so that toxins stop re-entering the bloodstream and making you sick. This is the final step in the 4 point plan and once you go through the process you should get everything under control and feel much better.

This type of natural treatment for candida is the ONLY way to overcome the issue. It does require dedication and motivation because the diet has to be VERY strict and the supplement routine has to be regular. This does make it fairly challenging but not impossible. Although it is challenging it is well worth the effort to reclaim your health, wouldn’t you say?

So tomorrow we’ll dig into the foods and talk about what to eat and what not to eat.

Hope to see you then

Great article. There is definitely no “cure-all” for candida. Using the methods you have suggested is the only way to kill the candida. It can be a long battle, but so worth it in the end. Thanks for the great tips. I look forward to your newsletter.
