Here we are at the beginning of 2016. Are you ready to make it a good one?
I am.
But when it comes to goal setting and actually achieving those goals, are you struggling to get started? Or perhaps it’s just that you need a few helpful resources that can help skyrocket your success.
1. Make a Vision Board
Seriously, I cannot recommend this enough. I’ve been creating a vision board every single year for about 4 or 5 years now and I can’t believe how many of the things on those boards has actually happened.
All I can say is AMAZING!!
Make a vision board. It is worth it.

2. Good For Me/ Bad For Me
If you feel like you have more bad habits than you care to admit, then using the good for me/ bad for me exercise is the best way to go.
It will help you narrow down to what’s important so you can focus on what to change first. That way you won’t keep spinning your wheels.

3. FOCUS
What path are you going to choose this year?
It’s better if you choose one and just keep going rather than chopping and changing all the time – it’s called FOCUS!
Following one path is the only way to success.
4. Keep A Food Diary
Anytime I want to make changes or if I’m working with clients to make changes, the first thing I/we always do is keep a food diary.
You can’t really know what’s going on until you write it down. And it’s a great way to identify the gaps and what really need to be worked on.
Read more about keeping a food diary here.
Keep a paper diary, or use the all popular MyFitnessPal to track what you eat.
5. Read some Transformational Stories
There are some great transformational stories hiding out on the GFE blog.
Here are a few of them:
- Marg loses 212 lbs/ 94.5 kgs
- Tammy loses 110 lbs/ 50 kg
- Karen loses 66 lbs/ 30 kg
- Lorna loses 50 lbs/ 25 kgs
- Jen loses 100 lbs/ 45 kg
6. Develop Healthy Habits
I’ve recorded 2 popular podcasts about what makes people successful at generating healthy habits.
7. Have A Good Meal Plan
Eating habits are usually on autopilot. Something we do day in and day out without thinking about it.
Einstein said: “You can’t solve a problem on the same level of thinking.”
The same is true for eating.
If you want to make some changes, you have to make some changes. Therefore you need a plan!
You can make your own meal plan using these 10 meal planning tips (more work for you).
Or, you could purchase a ready-made meal plan and have all the work done for you (best option – no work for you).
I recommend:
- My 7 day detox – if you want a short but really effective plan with ready-made meal plan included.
- My 5 week candida meal plan – if you have some gut and inflammation issues and need a good clean out that will get awesome results – including great weight loss and hormonal balance, too.
- My simple 4 week weight loss meal plan – lots of easy food ideas mapped out for you to enjoy while you go ahead and lose weight.
All my meal plans have loads of delicious recipes and shopping lists included.
You should find some good inspiration to kick start your New Year here.
Best of all – go get that vision board started. It will be the best thing you ever do!!
Cheers to a great 2016!!
